Mr Philip Attard

Chairman

Philip has led the Board of Practical Systems since mid-2017. He brings more than 30 years in the information technology industry where he has held positions in sales, marketing, business development, strategy and general management, in both Australia and across Asia Pacific. 

Philip is additionally focused on developing the family business by increasing farm productivity and marketing the specialist merino clip directly to retailers and their supply chains. 

Philip holds directorships with UNE Partnership, Grazier’s Investment Company and family companies.

Bob Locke

Chief Financial Officer

Bob is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in Public Accounting with a range of farming, small business and institutional clients. He is a leader in the use of technology in decision support for accounting and management systems.

In 1992 Bob founded Practical Systems and completed the technical design and programming of the company’s two original software products: Cashbook Plus! financial management system and Farmbook farm records system.

Bob maintains an active role with the company as Chief Financial Officer, chief designer of the financial management software portfolio and is also Principal of a related company PS Accounting Pty Ltd.

Mark Morton

Executive Director – Sales

Mark Morton has been with us since 2008. For 10 years Mark led Practical Systems as CEO and in January 2019 made the strategic move to focus more of his time in client engagement and sales development.

Mark has a degree in Agricultural Economics, Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation. Mark has over 20 years’ experience with Australian agribusiness in both a finance and management consulting role.

Malcolm Linn

Non – Executive Director

Malcolm is General Manager of Gallagher Australia Animal Management.  He has held a number of senior agribusiness roles in New Zealand and Australia, with considerable international experience in export quality assurance, meat, fish and horticulture.

Katrina Blomfield

Non – Executive Director

Katrina is a partner in a mixed sheep and cattle grazing enterprise near Walcha, NSW working with her husband in the family superfine wool stud business.

Katrina has extensive experience in financial management, office administration, self-managed superannuation fund administration and retail. She has also served the farming community through active participation in the NSW Farmers Association.
